The role
We are currently recruiting motivated and enthusiastic trainees to join our team. We are offering the successful candidates the opportunity to train to become a Chartered Tax Adviser and/or ACCA qualified accountant.
We offer exciting development opportunities with your chance to build you knowledge and experience in many sectors, including Guernsey tax, UK tax and accounting. All training and professional qualifications will be fully supported by us.
Your duties will include preparing tax returns, completing book-keeping and reconciliations and preparing annual financial statements for our wide variety of clients.
Training
In addition to any professional qualification you would like to pursue, we endeavour to provide a learning experience that is both challenging and rewarding. We will provide you with a comprehensive training plan that will include both external and on the job training together with full managerial support. You can expect your responsibilities to increase steadily throughout your career with us and, as your understanding of tax and accounting grows, so will the complexity of your workload and responsibilities.
The individual
The ideal candidates will be enthusiastic with a willingness to learn and be able to work as part as a team. Candidates should have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and display a positive approach to work and learning.
Requirements
School leavers should have excellent GCSE/A Level/Higher results (or equivalent).
Applicants will not be expected to have prior knowledge or experience within tax or accounting.
